In an elevated position on the southern tip of the Island, Eryb, Barnstable and Kilbride Cottages command stunning views over the Ayrshire and Wigtownshire coastlines, westwards to Ireland and beyond.


Getting to Arran

Arran is accessible all year by ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick, and in summer by an additional ferry from Claonaig on Kintyre to Lochranza. A reduced service runs from Tarbert to Lochranza in winter.

Getting to Shannochie

From Brodick Pier, head south for approximately 15 miles. You will pass through the villages of Lamlash and Whiting Bay then come to a sign for Kildonan - keep right on the inland road (the left turn is the low road through Kildonan village). Continue on for another 3 miles. There is a sign on the left at Shannochie roadend. Just turn in and you are at Barnstable and Eryb Cottages.

To get to Kilbride Cottage, rather than turning in continue along the main road and you'll find Kilbride Cottage on the right hand side approx. 1/4 mile further on.

Bus Service on island - take the 323 bus from Brodick Pier and just ask to be dropped off at the cottage you book, they will stop at end of road.
