Situated in a very peaceful location amidst idyllic countryside, Kilbride was previously a farm cottage built around the late 1880/1890's. It has been renovated to a high standard in keeping with the original character - has its own garden from which, to the west, can be seen the Argyll peninsular and to the south, Ailsa Craig and beyond.
All on one level the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and additional eating area, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The cosy lounge also boasts an open fire for the chillier evenings, or just to sit and watch the flames flickering in the dark! It is ideal for pet owners as there is a very scenic forestry walk, crossing the island to Whiting Bay and Lamlash, just a stone's throw away!
Beautiful island. Friendly and charming folk. Cottage is great – had some superb sunny days and will hopefully be back
As walkers and wildlife lovers the holiday has been superb. The view from Goatfell summit is unbelievable! Comfy cottage and friendly pubs
A wonderful holiday, thank you, due to the comfort of this cottage, the hospitality of the islanders, the beautiful views & kind weather
Mixed weather, Arran so beautiful this time of year – had a lovely week. Fireworks great from kitchen window. Tripping over Golden eagles, saw 3 this time
Perfect cosy cottage in an ideal location for visiting all areas of the island. We have enjoyed walks all over plus an evening stroll to the local beaches just about every night. I wish we had booked 2 weeks, but work and school beckons!
Thank you once again for your lovely cosy cottage. We have felt so at home – it beats staying at any 5 star hotel...
This is our 3rd visit to Arran, but 1st to Kilbride, and it made all the difference. What a beautiful 2 weeks, the weather was very kind only seeing rain on the Sat. mid week. Food good wherever we went. Cottage lovely
This is our 9th visit to Kilbride Cottage and I’m sure it won’t be the last! Weather has been mixed, but we have managed some of the old walks and even ventured on a new one – Glen Rosa...
Think we have 'Arran –itis' - need I say more
Fantastic little place with the hares and glimpse of sea through the trees – weather amazing: island amazing: otters, seals, sandpipers.
Great time again. No rain! Warm and sunny – made it up Goatfell, the hard way this time! Many thanks, hope to return. We love the cottage, appreciate all the touches.
